Abstract
A new set of anthelic arcs resulting from hexagonal, pencil-shaped ice crystals that fall with their axes oriented horizontally is revealed by computer simulation. The arcs result from light rays from the Sun that experience two, and sometimes four, internal reflections in the ice crystal.
