Analysis of VEGF mRNA stability during CEB differentiation. Actinomycin D was added to CEB differentiated for 2, 3, 4 and 5 days, and total RNA was extracted at 0, 2, 4 and 8 h later. The resulting RNA samples were analyzed for the levels of VEGF mRNA by Northern blot analysis. The increase in VEGF mRNA levels in day 4 and older CEB is not due to an increase in VEGF mRNA stability.
