Curcumin dose-dependently reduces tyrosine phosphorylation of PDGF-βR and EGFR in activated HSC in vitro. After serum-starvation for 48 h, HSC were pretreated with curcumin for 30 min before the stimulation with FBS (10%) for an additional 20 min. Whole-cell extracts were prepared for Western blotting analyses. Representatives were shown here from three independent experiments. (a) Curcumin dose-dependently reduces the level of phosphorylatetd PDGF-βR (p-PDGF-βR). Total PDGF-βR was used as an internal control. (b) Curcumin dose-dependently reduces the level of phosphorylatetd EGFR (p-EGFR). Total EGFR was used as an internal control.
