Effect of MT on free malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations in CuD mouse hearts. Animals fed CuD or CuA diet for 5 weeks were killed and the hearts removed as described in Materials and Methods. The freshly-removed hearts were immediately processed for the isolation of free MDA and measurement by an HPLC system. Each value was obtained from 10 to 12 animals (n = 10 to 12) and the data are expressed as mean ± sd. * indicates significantly different from CuA.
