Neutrophilic infiltration in the BMP-2/athelocollagen pellet. At Day 1 after implantation, the BMP-2/atelocollagen pellets were prepared for hematoxylin/eosin stain (A and B: G-CSF mice; C and D: control) (original magnification: A and C, × 100; B and D, × 400). For pellets in both the G-CSF mice and control mice, neutrophilic infiltration was observed in the collagen bundles as well as adjacent fibrin mesh.
