Western blot of CTGF on HSC protein lysate after 4 days of culture in the absence (lane 1) or the presence of TGF-β1 at 10 ng/ml for 4 hours (lane 2). A significant increase in the specific 38-kd band was observed in cells incubated in the presence of TGF-β1.
