From: Effects and Regulation of Connective Tissue Growth Factor on Hepatic Stellate Cells
Stimulation of CTGF mRNA expression by platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and effect of neutralizing anti-TGF-β1. HSC were incubated in the presence of PDGF (10 ng/ml) for 4 hours. A significant up-regulation of CTGF mRNA was observed. Coincubation with neutralizing anti-TGF-β1 antibody (25 μg/ml) decreased PDGF-induced CTGF mRNA expression.
