From: Effects and Regulation of Connective Tissue Growth Factor on Hepatic Stellate Cells
HSC migration through porous membrane after addition of CTGF. rCTGF was added to the lower compartment of a modified Boyden chamber. The migration index, calculated by counting the ratio of HSC on the lower and upper surfaces of the membrane, was normalized to the control condition (absence of additional growth factor). Results are expressed as means ± sd of three independent experiments. (* p < 0.05 compared with the control condition).
