Immunoblot analysis of α-SMA expression in cultured peribiliary myofibroblasts. Peribiliary myofibroblasts in primary culture were incubated for 72 hours with 0.2% albumin, PDGF-BB (10 ng/ml), PDGF-BB (10 ng/ml) combined with STI571 (5 nmol/ml), 5% FCS, or 5% FCS combined with STI571 (5 nmol/ml), and then subjected to immunoblot-ECL analysis of α-SMA. A representative blot and the quantitative data (means ± SEM) of four separate experiments are shown. *p < 0.05.
