From: Stem Cell Factor Attenuates Liver Damage in a Murine Model of Acetaminophen-Induced Hepatic Injury
SCF inhibits acetaminophen-induced cytochrome P450 cyp2E1 mRNA expression. The mouse hepatocyte line N muli was serum starved for 36 hours and then exposed to acetaminophen (2.0 mm) with or without increasing doses of SCF. The analysis of cytochrome P450 cyp2E1-specific mRNA by RT-PCR demonstrates that SCF inhibits the expression 4 hours after acetaminophen treatment. Data are representative of three repeat experiments.
