From: Polypyrimidine tract binding protein and Notch1 are independently re-expressed in glioma
Representative immunohistochemical staining of tissue microarray cores. The upper panel shows normal brain staining of PTB, Notch1IC, Hes1, and GFAP. The predominant staining intensity was Negative for PTB, Negative for Notch1IC, Low Positive for Hes1, and Low Positive for GFAP. The lower panel provides examples of glioblastoma tissue cores scored as Negative (N), Low Positive (L), and High Positive (H) (see Materials and methods). Photomicrographs were taken with a Nikon Microphot-FXA microscope equipped with an Olympus DP70 digital camera.
