The mean values of the EphA1 expression scores of normal epidermis and basal cell carcinomas (n=56) show that EphA1 expression is significantly reduced in basal cell carcinoma (P<0.01). The EphA1 expression assessed by immunohistochemistry was scored on a scale ranging from 0 (no expression) to 4 (very strong expression).
