Marked iron accumulation in cirrhosis due to Type 1 HH. Here, in addition to grade 4 iron accumulation in hepatocytes, many iron-laden macrophages are present (upper arrow), a reflection of prior hepatocyte sideronecrosis and redistribution of iron into macrophages. Accumulation of iron in biliary epithelium is not uncommon as well (lower arrow).
