Examples of differing histologic appearance of myeloid sarcomas. (a) An example of the differentiated type of myeloid sarcoma, which has numerous eosinophils and more mature myeloid elements. (b) and (c) Consist of predominantly blastic cells, and would not typically be confused with EMH. Each is an intermediate-sized proliferation of cells that can be recognized as being of hematopoietic origin.
