Immunohistochemical analysis of a representative case of lymphoid interstitial pneumonitis. Paraffin-embedded tissue sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin; with a B-cell marker, L26 (CD20); with a T-cell marker, CD3; and with kappa and lambda (K and L, respectively). Primary antibodies were detected with biotinylated anti-mouse/rabbit IgG, followed by streptavidin-peroxidase complexes (magnification, 20 ×). Note there is a mixture of B and T cells with many scattered polyclonal cells of B-cell lineage.
