Decrease of nucleophosmin/B23 mRNA during TPA-induced differentiation of K562 cells. K562 cells were treated with 20 nM TPA for 72 h. Cells were then harvested and the total RNA was prepared. Northern blot analysis was performed with 5 μg of RNA for each sample. The 32P-labelled nucleophosmin/B23 (B23) cDNA and c-myc probes were employed for detection of homologous mRNA. The same filter was hybridised with 32P-labelled 18S cDNA probe that was used as a control for the amount of RNA loaded.
