From: c-Myc overexpression sensitises colon cancer cells to camptothecin-induced apoptosis
c-Myc overexpression sensitises colon cancer cells to camptothecin-induced apoptosis. The higher c-Myc levels and activity found in LoVo cells transfected with c-Myc (L2 and L3 cells) resulted in significant sensitisation to camptothecin-induced apoptosis, as demonstrated by PI staining and FACS analysis of cells exposed to 100 or 1000 nM camptothecin. The mean of three experiments±standard error of the mean is shown. Asterisks indicate significant differences (Student's t-test; P<0.0001) between L2 or L3 cells and parental LoVo cells.
