From: c-Myc overexpression sensitises colon cancer cells to camptothecin-induced apoptosis
Role of p53 in the c-Myc imposed sensitisation to camptothecin-induced apoptosis. Exposure of L2 and L3 cells to camptothecin for 72 h in the presence of the specific inhibitor of p53 PFT-α demonstrated a p53-dependent component in their increased apoptotic response to this agent compared to parental LoVo cells.
