From: Elucidation of the tumoritropic principle of hypericin

Perfusion of RIF-1 (▴) and R1 (▪) tumours. The amount FITC-dextran extracted is expressed as % of injected dose per gram of tumour, as a function of tumour weight. FITC-dextran (100 mg kg−1) was i.v. injected 2 min before killing. Data points were fitted using one-phase exponential decay. The logarithm of the amount of FITC-dextran recovered per gram tumour tissue as a function of tumour weight is depicted in the inset (for RIF-1: y=−0.003575x+4.408; for R1: y=−0.001982x+4.273). The data were statistically compared after linearisation using the two-way ANCOVA test (analysis of covariance). No significant difference between the perfusion of RIF-1 and R1 tumours was observed (P-value: 0.064).
