Concentration of platinum in the kidney and the liver at 24 h after the administration of carboplatin. At 24 h, median platinum concentration in the kidney of the i.v. infusion group was 2.19 μg g−1, whereas in the i.a. infusion group it was 3.22 μg g−1. In the liver, the i.v. infusion group was 0.92 μg g−1, whereas the i.a. infusion group was 0.74 μg g−1. No statistically significant differences were found regarding the platinum concentrations in the kidney and the liver of the two groups.
