Six animals per group at each time point (6, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 h) counting 50 half-crypts per mouse. (B) Mitotic index is displayed for each crypt cell position 72 h after the administration of treatment in p53 wild-type mice. Chevron indicates cell positions over which a significant difference was detected between treatments (P<0.001, PC crypts).
