Marginal cost-effectiveness plane calculated in patients with oesophageal or gastric cardia cancer who had undergone all staging investigations (n=264) and using the five completed data sets (n=569). The combination of CT and US neck for the detection of supraclavicular lymph node metastases (one-positive scenario), and CT only for the detection of metastases in celiac lymph nodes, liver and lung was considered as reference strategy.
