The percentage of cells in S-phase was determined by flow cytometry as in Figure 1. The mean and s.e.m. of three independent experiments is shown. (B) Time-dependent decrease in TS and cyclin E mRNA in starved HCT116 cells. TS and cyclin E mRNA levels were quantified by real-time PCR and normalised to levels of RPL32 mRNA.
