Hypoxic resistance was hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) dependent and unrelated to platinated-DNA adduct formation. Empty vector (EV) and dominant-negative (DN) cells were exposed to oxaliplatin under standard atmospheric or hypoxic conditions, and IC50 values were calculated from SRB assays (A).
