Upregulation of CD247 on NK cells in response to IL-21. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) derived from patients (n=12) were cultured with IL-21 at the indicated doses (1 and 5 μg ml⁻¹) for 24 h. Thereafter, the expression of CD247 molecules on NK cells (CD56(+)CD3(−)) was analysed by intracellular staining with flow cytometry. Representative data of flow cytometry and summarised data (n=12) indicated that the expression of CD247 on NK cells was significantly enhanced by treatment with IL-21 at 5 μg ml⁻¹.
