  2. Non-resistant (parental cells) and human MDR1 gene-transfected L5178 mouse lymphoma cells were treated with rhodamine 123 and the individual compounds for 20 min at 37°C. The fluorescence of the cell population was then measured with a flow cytometer.
  3. Mean and s.d. values were calculated from at least three independent experiments.
