Holothuroids, asteroids and ophiuroids have two larval stages and early larva (auricularia, bipinnaria and ophiopluteus, respectively) and late metamorphic settlement stage larva (doliolaria, brachiolaria and vitellaria, respectively). Echinoids have one larval stage, the echinopluteus, which is also the settlement stage.
