Schematic of a-Ag2-δX nanoparticles becoming micrometer-sized c-Ag2-δX and quasi-sc Ag-doped MX nanosheets/nanobelts by topotactic reaction-induced 3-D OA growth on rigid/flexible substrates. Cation-induced electrostatic force, cation and thiol ligand passivation on the nanosheet surface help achieve good contact with the substrates.
