SEM images of the cells on the surface of the temperature-responsive hydrogel. (a) Cells attached on the surface of an RGD-modified hydrogel that was fully contracted. (b) After the RGD-modified hydrogels expanded fully, small debris was observed on the surface of the hydrogel. The presence of the debris indicates that the cancer cells ruptured.
