NAC improved the expression of BA transporters and the synthesizing gene. Hepatocytes were pretreated with NAC (5 mmol/L) and co-incubated with TA3 (5 μmol/L) for 24 h. Cell samples were collected to isolate total RNA, and the gene was determined by RT-PCR. The data are presented as the mean±SD (n=3). bP<0.05, cP<0.01 (TA3+NAC treatment vs TA3 alone).
