NPDox/VLA4−pep induces cytotoxicity against MM cells. NCI-H929 MM cells were cultured in the presence of equivalent Dox concentrations of NPDox/VLA4−pep(▪), NPDox (▴), or free Dox (•) for 48 and 72 h. In all cases, cell viability was assessed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), and data represent means (±s.d.) of triplicate cultures. Control experiments performed with NPDox/ns showed similar results to NPDox. NPbare and NPVLA4−pep did not show any cytotoxic effects at the concentrations tested (results not shown).
