From: Tumour and immune cell dynamics explain the PSA bounce after prostate cancer brachytherapy
Prostate-specific antigen dynamics and model fitting. Serial PSA values for each individual patient were fitted to the model (solid line). The model provides excellent fits for patients demonstrating (A) successful therapy, (B) PSA bounce, large in magnitude and long duration, (C) tumour relapse and (D) PSA bounce that is both small in magnitude and short in duration, with a small increase in PSA immediately following first follow-up from brachytherapy.
