Depletion of the VCP co-factors PLAA and UFD1L affects SG formation. HeLa cells lipofected with control (ctrl), PLAA (a–c) or UFD1L siRNA (d–f) for 72 h were left untreated (data not shown) or treated for 3 h with MG132 or 45 min with arsenite (Ars).
