CQ overcomes resistance to vorinostat in U937-B8 cells but protects from vorinostat-induced toxicity in U937 cells. U937 and U937-B8 cells cultured in vorinostat and U937-B8 cultured 1 week in drug-free media were treated with or without the indicated concentrations of CQ for the indicated time before cell death (a) and relative caspase 3/7 activity (b) were evaluated. U937 cells were treated with 2 μ M vorinostat with or without the indicated concentrations of CQ before cell death (c) and relative caspase 3/7 activity (d) was evaluated
