The presence of vorinostat correlates with increased autophagy in U937-B8 cells. U937-B8 cells cultured in 2 μ M vorinostat or 1 week in drug-free media, treated with or without 25 μ M CQ for 18 h, were fixed and imaged by TEM (left panel, scale bar 2 μm) or analyzed by immunofluorescence microscopy using antibody specific for LC3 (right panel) (a).
