H125 TICs display a cisplatin-resistant phenotype also as mouse xenografts in vivo. Xenografts established from H125 bulk cells responded to 1 mg/kg cisplatin treatment by a reduced growth rate, whereas TICs are highly resistant to treatment. Median tumor size±S.D. was analyzed over time (bulk, n=12; TICs, n=4). Cisplatin treatment was initiated when tumors reached a size of 100 mg (day 0) and were given two times a week. The arrow indicates the last cisplatin treatment. Statistics were calculated using a two-tailed t-test comparing all time points
