RUNX1 expression in human skin. Sections of paraffin-embedded normal human facial skin stained with anti-RUNX1 polyclonal (ad) or control rabbit IgG (e) antibodies. The arrow shows RUNX1 nuclear labeling in longitudinal (a) and transversal (b) sections of a hair follicle. In the interfollicular epidermis (c and d), RUNX1 is essentially expressed in keratinocytes of the basal layer and its expression strongly decreases in suprabasal layers. The square in (c) represents the area of magnification shown in the (d). Scale bar=50 μm
