ABT-263 and its structural analogues accelerate the death of cell lines infected with IAV and several other viruses. (a) Human monocyte-derived macrophages were treated with ABT-263, ABT-737, ABT-199, gossypol or TW-37 and mock- or IAV-infected (WSN, moi 10), and DSS was estimated 11 h after infection. (b) Monocyte-derived macrophages from seven volunteers were treated with ABT-263 and mock- or IAV-infected (WSN, moi 10), and DSS was estimated 11 h after infection. (c) Different cell types were treated with ABT-263 and mock-infected or infected with different IAV strains (moi 10), and DSS was estimated 11 h after infection. (d) Different cell types were treated with ABT-263 and mock-infected or infected with different viruses as indicated (moi from 2 to 10), and DSS was estimated.
