p53 differentially affects expression of primary and mature miR-16-2 and miR-26a. Effect of p53 activation by doxorubicin on the transcription of primary miR-16-1, miR-16-2, and miR-26a-1 gene in p53+ and p53 U2-OS cells was measured by Q-RT-PCR.
