Minocycline inhibited the expression of M1 markers in the progressive disease phase. RNA was extracted from the lumbar spinal cords. The temporal mRNA expression profiles of M1 markers ((a) CD68, (b) CD86, (c) TNF-α, (d) IL-1β, and (e) IFN-γ) were examined by quantitative RT-PCR.
