Effect of L75P-ApoA-I on cell growth. (a) The vector control, (b) WT-APOA1, and (c) L75P-APOA1 transfectants were cultured in normal growth medium (Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM)+10% fetal bovine serum) (black and red lines) or in serum-free DMEM (green and blue lines) in the absence (black and blue lines) or presence (red and green lines) of 0.5 μg/ml ANG for different lengths of time (24, 48, 72 h). Cell numbers were determined by MTT (3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay. Data shown are the means±S.E.M. of three independent experiments
