P7 rat pups were injected with saline (Control) or ethanol (EtOH; 4 mg/g b.w.) and again with osmotin (Osm; 15 μg/g b.w.) or saline 30 min later. Pups were killed at 12 h after ethanol injection for analysis. Shown are tissue sections from the CA1 region of the hippocampus (A) and the anterior cingulate cortex (B) that were double stained for cytochrome c (FITC-label, green) and caspase-3 (TRITC-label, red).
