From: Protein tyrosine kinase 6 promotes ERBB2-induced mammary gland tumorigenesis in the mouse

Disruption of Ptk6 impairs tyrosine phosphorylation of FAK and BCAR1 in ERBB2-positive mammary gland tumors. (a) Activated FAK (P-Y576/577) and total FAK expression were examined in MMTV-ERBB2-positive mammary gland tumors. Disruption of Ptk6 gene led to dramatically reduced levels of activated FAK phosphorylated at tyrosine residues 576/577. (b) Phosphorylated BCAR1 (P-Y165) and total BCAR1 expression were examined in MMTV-ERBB2-positive mammary gland tumors. Disruption of Ptk6 led to reduced phosphorylation of BCAR1. Both P-FAK and P-BCAR1 were primarily localized to the invading edges of the tumors, matching the expression pattern of P-PTK6 (Figure 3c). The size bars represent 50 μm
