(a) Intracellular FGF1WT induced PC12 cells neuronal differentiation. Only the K132E mutation inhibited this activity. (b) Intracellular FGF1WT and FGF1S130A protected PC12 cells from p53-dependent apoptosis, in contrast to FGF1K132E and FGF1S130D. All these FGF1 forms presented both a nuclear and a cytosolic localization
