Expression and cellular distribution of SIRT1 in brain cortex after SAH. (a) Western blot analysis showed the expression of SIRT1 at 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h after SAH.&#8232; (b) After experimental SAH, SIRT1 was intensely immunoreactive in both cytoplasm and nuclei. (c) Double immunofluorescence staining showed that SIRT1 expressed mostly in neurons but also in microglia but not in astrocytes.
