Effects of interrupting salusin-β on NFκB activation and oxidative stress in myocardium in rats with diabetes (DM). Intravenous injection of adenoviral vectors encoding salusin-β shRNA (Ad-Salusin-shRNA, 2.0 × 1010 plaque-forming units) or scramble shRNA (Ad-Scr-shRNA) were carried out and repeated for 2 weeks in rats. The measurements were made 4 weeks after the first adenovirus transfer. (a) NFκB activation. (b) Oxidative stress. (c) DHE staining for detecting ROS in myocardium.
