ESI induces the appearance of autophagy flux in lung cancer cells. (a) Schematic representation of mCherry-EGFP-LC3 constructs. (b) H1299 cells overexpressing mCherry-EGFP-LC3 were treated with 1.6 μM ESI (left) or DMSO (right) for 0, 12, 24, 48 h, respectively, and then subjected to confocal microscopy. Scale bar: 10 μm. The average numbers of green and red LC3 dots per cell in each condition were quantified, and >30 cells were counted in each condition. All data were representative of three independent experiments.
