Cytotoxicity of LBL21 in various human cancer cell lines. (a) MTS assay was performed to evaluate the effect of PEITC and LBL21 on the proliferation of different cancer cell lines after 72-h treatment. The errors in determinations of IC50 are within ±10% of their value. (b) The image of colony formation of A549, DLD1 and Panc1 after 14 days treatment with PEITC or LBL21 at 1 μM. (c) Apoptosis rates were determined by annexin-V/PI assay after cancer cells were treated with PEITC or LBL21 at 10 μM for 72 h. Percentage numbers indicate annexin-V/PI-positive cell fraction.
