Effects of Rel protein silencing on pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in RPE cells. (a–f) ARPE-19 cells were transfected with only Lipofectamine 6000 reagent, non-siRNA, RelA siRNA, RelB siRNA or c-Rel siRNA for 24 h. IL-6 (a), IL-1β (b), IL-8 (c), IL-18 (d) and IL-12b (e) mRNA levels were evaluated by qRT-PCR. The mRNA levels were standardized to housekeeping gene expression.
