Deletion of p53 enhances polyploid giant cell formation in NS-depleted MEF cells. (a) DAPI staining reveals a dramatic increase in cells with an abnormal giant nuclear morphology (nuclear diameter ⩾40 μm) in NS-p53 double-knockout MEF cells (P3).
